Coopération Inter Africaine (CI-A)

We, Elite, Traders and Entrepreneurs of African States, gathered within the initiative called African Community,

-Guided by the objectives and principles enshrined in the Constitutive Act of the African Union, in particular, Articles 3 and 4 which stress the importance of good governance, popular participation, rule of law and human rights;

- Committed to promoting the values and principles of decentralization, local governance and local development in Africa as a prerequisite for improving the living conditions of all the peoples of the continent; Convinced that local governments or local authorities are the pillars of any democratic governance system;

-Reaffirming the collective will of States to deepen participatory democracy,
empowering citizens and communities, promoting accountability and transparency in institutions…
